Tupoho Trust is the legal entity and administrative arm of Te Runanga o Tupoho. On 11th day of September 1991, Tupoho Whānau Trust was incorporated and established under the Charitable Trusts Act to act as a recognised Māori Authority under the mantle of Ngā Hapū ō Tupoho.

Tupoho services the 10 marae and 16 hapū from the lower reaches of Te Awa Tupua through to Tangaroa. These marae and hapū have representatives that form Te Runanga o Tupoho who have an overarching mission of ‘bringing together the strengths of ngā hapū ō Tupoho’, “Whakapumautia te mana ō ngā hapū ō Tupoho”.  Their vision is to promote a Te Runanga ō Tupoho culture based upon a knowledge of a shared heritage and an understanding and celebration of cultural distinctiveness. They also act as a collective unified force for the health and well being of ngā hapū ō Te Awa Tupua o Whanganui.

Te Runanga ō Tupoho, Tupoho Trust and Toitū Te Matauranga all operate from Rangahaua Marae in Bell Street; Tupoho Investments, Toitū Te Mahi and Tupoho Housing are located at Te Puna ō Tupoho at 66 Campbell St; Tupoho Social Services run from both Tupoho House at 249 Victoria Ave and Te Whare Tirohanga at Carson Street in Castlecliff; while the Manaaki Whānau team work out of the Inspire Manaaki Whānau Centre at 32 Wilson Street. All these Tupoho services have one main kaupapa, being:

To protect, nurture and educate all who utilise Tupoho services.
